TUKWILA, Wash. — Two men in two different cars were hit by gunfire Monday night while driving on the highways in the Southcenter Mall area, Tukwila police said.
Neither person has life-threatening injuries, police said.
Police spokesman Victor Masters said one of the wounded men drove himself to the hospital.
Police said the shootings took place near the I-5 off-ramp to State Route 518 in Tukwila and at Interstate 405 and the West Valley Highway.
Masters said the shooter, who fired from a moving car, fled in an unidentified vehicle and that no one is in custody.
Masters said police the shooting of the victim near SR 518 was random, and they were still investigating whether the shooting of the second man was also random or if he was targeted.
The report of gunfire first came in at about 7:09 p.m. police said.
Masters said there were passengers in both cars that were hit by gunfire.
