45 stocks hit fresh 52-week high today

NEW DELHI: Shares of JP Associates and Balaji Telefilms were among the 45 stocks that hit their fresh 52-week high on NSE in Friday’s early trade.

Notably, ace Investor Rakesh Jhunjhunwala has picked up 2.5 crore shares, or 1% stake, in Jaiprakash Associates in the June quarter, the company’s shareholding data showed.

Shares of Balaji Telefilms surged over reports that Reliance Industries has picked up a 25 per cent stake in India’s leading TV content production company Balaji Telefilms.

Other major stocks that hit fresh 52-week high included Ashima, GVK Power Infra, Wipro, Vaswani, Sterlite Tech, Aditya Birla Money, Dynacons Systems, Artemis Global Life Sciences, Thomas Scott, Eastern Silk and Welspun Enterprises.

However, nearly 10 stocks, including FCS Software, Prakash Steel, Bhagyanagar Properties, Dynemic Product, KSS, Sita Shree Food and Nitin Fire Prot touched their fresh 52-week low.

Earlier, benchmark indices opened positive with heavyweight Reliance Industries emerging as the most active stock in terms of value and volume both.

Barring pharma index, all other sectoral indices were trading in green.

Benchmark Nifty50 index was 36 points up at 9,910, while the 30-share Sensex was 127 points up at 32,031 around 10.24 am (IST).

In the Nifty50 pack, 23 stocks were trading in green, while 25 stocks were in red.

On BSE, 1,260 stocks were advancing whereas 806 stocks were lagging.
