The filthiest cars in the Midlands have been revealed – and some are downright disgusting.
Shocking images of decomposing apple cores piled up on the dashboard and a toddler’s sick sprayed across the backseats of a mum’s car have been released as winners of a competition aiming to track down the nation’s messiest cars.
Geraldine Skyes, the owner of the Volvo and its impressive apple pile said her love of the fruit has taken over her car, with dozens of decomposing cores building up on the dashboard.
Along with her photo entry to UK Carline’s competition, the Solihull woman wrote: “Core Blimey! – This is the in cider my car and it doesn’t get any better – juice wait until you see the rest of it. I am always chomping on apples and other fruit as I drive along resulting in quite a composting effect…”
But other car owners weren’t so proud of their filthy interiors and said they were embarrassed of the state of their vechicles. Joyce Jullianne explains how her messy car often leaves her feeling ashamed and like many of us, she doesn’t know how it ends up like that.
She added: “Last time I took it for a service, I asked them NOT to valet it because I was too embarrassed.”
The study, by UK Carline, also found that nearly a third of car owners waited over three months before cleaning the inside of their vehicles, despite admitting to having sex, sleeping, spilling food and drink, and leaving food to rot in their cars.
