Bank holidays 2018: How to get 24 days off in a row – by only booking 14 days off

While there’s still several months to go until we bid farewell to 2017, you might already be thinking ahead to your 2018 holidays.

Well if you are, did you know that in 2018 you can get 24 days off in a row – by only booking 14 days off.

So if you fancy using some of your holiday allowance to get over three weeks off, here’s how to do it.

How it works

There are two bank holidays in May – Monday, May 7 and Monday, May 28.

So by booking holiday around both, you can get 24 days off in a row using just 14 days of annual leave.

This can be done by booking May 7 to May 28 off work, so your final day would be Friday May 4, returning to work on Tuesday, May 29.

How about that!
