The Buffalo Bills have signed running back and kick returner Taiwan Jones.
Buffalo hosted the running back on a free agent visit on Wednesday before agreeing to terms with the former Oakland Raiders draft pick. Jones was released by the Raiders in late July.
The running back finished the 2016 season with one carry for -8 yards and four receptions for 43 yards. He also had eight kick returns for 112 yards with the Raiders last season.
Jones is best known for his speed. He has recorded a 4.33 40-yard dash and could provide the Bills an explosive option as a kick returner. Buffalo has had Rashad Ross, Brandon Tate and Philly Brown handling kick returns early in training camp, but Jones plenty of experience in the role.
In his career, Jones has returned 75 kicks for 1,751 yards. His best season came in 2015 when he averaged 26.7 yards per kick return. Jones led the AFC in kick return yards that season with 829 yards.
