Vehicles have been broken into and cars have been scratched during a string of crimes in a North Devon town last night. Ilfracombe Police took to their social media page to let people know about a cluster of incidents which were reported.

Issues included vehicle break-ins, holes and scratches being made on cars as well as a phone box being damaged.
Ilfracombe Police issued this status on their Facebook page this afternoon: “Overnight there have been a series of vehicle breaks and criminal damages across Ilfracombe, from the Larkstone area up to the Torrs Park area.
“The majority of the crimes we have identified involve vehicles having had a window smashed to gain entry.”

The post continued to state that the officers believed that vehicles which were not secure were also entered.
Ilfracombe Police’s Facebook post stated: “There have also been other vehicle damages in the area, where cars have had panels scratched and holes made, as well as a phone box being damaged.
“We are keen to speak with any victims who are yet to report a crime to us, as well as anyone who may have witnessed the crimes or have information which will assist us in identifying those responsible.”
