Eastbound and westbound lanes of I-30 near Rowlett will be closed briefly early Sunday to repair damage caused by fallen power lines after a car hit a utility pole Saturday afternoon, officials say.

The power lines fell into the middle of the highway, leading to two crashes, police said.

A roughly five-mile stretch of highway, from Bass Pro Drive to Ridge Road, is set to close at midnight for utility line repairs, Rowlett police said in a Facebook post. Oncor Electric requested the lane closures and expected to take 30 minutes, according to police.
