This event will display the art in classic cars.
The third annual Classic Car Cruise, hosted by the Community Arts Center of Cambria County, will be held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at Sunnehanna Country Club, 1000 Sunnehanna Drive, Westmont.
Cost is $5 per vehicle the day of the event.
Owners of the first 25 cars to register will receive a dash plaque and T-shirt.
Angela R. Godin, executive director of the arts center, said that going into the third year of the cruise, it’s exciting to see the variety and variations of cars that participate in the event.
“We have many local vehicles that attend almost every cruise so far, along with new,” she said.
“Our hope is to continue this event for years to come through the unique avenue of showcasing the artistic realm of classic cars.”
A children’s coloring contest will take place throughout the event, and all participants will receive a prize.
In addition, there will be food and beverages for purchase, live musical entertainment from The Sharptones, a 50/50 raffle and raffle prizes.
Godin said the dedication of time and attention to detail that is necessary to restore a classic car puts them in an artistic category all of their own.
“As an arts center for the community, we strive to expand our vision of art to as many realms of nurturing culture as we can,” she said.
Admission to the show is free.
No rain day is planned in case of inclement weather.
