A man has been banned from driving for 20 months after being caught more than twice the drink drive limit and crashing into several parked cars.
Nicholas Dix, aged 34, from Medland Crescent, Southway, was arrested following an incident in Eldad Hill and Molesworth Road in the early hours of July 9.
Having crashed into six parked vehicles he was arrested by officers and blew positive on a breathalyser. His final recorded test was 80 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath.
The legal limit is 35 micrograms of alcohol for every 100 millilitres of breath.
Dix appeared at Plymouth Magistrates Court on Thursday where he pleaded guilty to drink driving and driving without due care and attention.
Magistrates disqualified Dix for 20 months and imposed a 12 month community order. He must carry out a Rehabilitation Activity Requirement and complete 100 hours unpaid work.
He was also ordered to pay £85 court costs and a victim surcharge of £85.
