HYDERABAD: The Telangana school education department has declared Dasara holidays for all school managements from September 20 to October 4.

The schools will reopen for the remaining part of the academic year on October 5. Following instructions issued by the G Kishan, commissioner and director of school education department on Saturday, the Hyderabad district education officer instructed the schools to follow the schedule and not conduct classes during vacations. “Schools have to strictly follow the government instructions and declare holidays. Any deviation in this regard will be viewed very seriously,” said Ramesh.

However, the circular applies only to government, aided and unaided schools, which follow the syllabus prescribed by the state government.
