Election-related bills sent to state affairs committee

KATHMANDU: The Legislature-Parliament today sent the bills related to the elections to the House of Representatives and the provincial assembly for clause-wise discussion to the state affairs committee.

Minister for Home Affairs Janardan Sharma had tabled the ‘Bill relating to the election of the member of House of Representatives-2074’ and the ‘Bill relating to the election of the member of the Provincial Assembly- 2074’ was tabled Parliament meeting today.

His proposal to send both the bills for clause-wise discussion to the concerned committee was unanimously endorsed by the House.

The state affairs committee would see the deliberations on more than one dozen amendments to the bill registered by members of parliaments, and reach to a conclusion following necessary deliberations on it.
