Police had to perform crowd control after a man with a stack of $100 bills started throwing cash in the air outside Drai’s Nightclub Monday morning.

The unidentified man started throwing bills at about 4 a.m. as a large crowd of people exited the night club, located inside the Cromwell at Flamingo Road and Las Vegas Boulevard.

“As you might expect, it caused quite the commotion, which led to some sporadic fights breaking out and large groups of people congregating,” said LVMPD Lieutenant David Gordon in a release. “At one point the crowd swelled to about 1000 people.”

Police arrived to help maintain order and assist in dispersing the patrons.

Two misdemeanor arrests were made, but no serious injuries have been reported.
