Greene County residents will get hit with three months of water bills due to issues with the county’s new billing system, according to the county.
The county’s Sanitary Engineering Department implemented a new billing system, but the program had technical difficulties that led to a delay in bills getting issued, according to a message posted on the division’s website.

Bills were mailed out Wednesday covering the June, July and August billing periods, according to the county. The portion of the bill covering the month of June is based off of meter readings obtained in May, but the portion of the bill covering the months of July and August will be based off estimates.
