A pedestrian had an incredible escape after he survived being hit by two cars just moments apart.
Halil Aydin had been crossing a three-lane carriageway when he was hit by a taxi.
The impact sent him flying through the air across a central reservation right into the path of a car going the other way.
The driver slammed on the brakes but still connected hard with Mr Aydin.
Shocking CCTV footage of the double crash shows Aydin running through two lanes of stationary traffic in Istanbul, right into the path of the cab in the third lane.
The collision sends him sailing through the air, dropping him right in front of Oktay Albas’ white Opel saloon.
A later video shows the front of the Opel has been broken off by the collision.
The taxi’s windscreen is shown cracked by the impact and a blood-stained piece of material is seen on the road.
Astonished medics at the Sisli Hamidiye Etfal Training and Research hospital in Istanbul say he survived the double impact but is recovering from “serious” multiple injuries.
Cabbie Osman Aydin has been quizzed by police investigating the crash.
It was not clear whether they were planning to charge him.
