We may groan about seeing holiday decorations already popping up in stores in September, but let’s face it, it’s pretty exciting to know that some amazing wintry food releases are just around the corner.
While pumpkin spice and maple are all the rage right now, pretty soon, we’ll be noshing on more festive flavors like peppermint and gingerbread. Now, Quaker Oats’ Life is getting in on that spicy action.
The popular food news Instagram account @candyhunting recently teased a photo of the newest flavor of Life cereal: Gingerbread Spice.
According to the post, the limited-edition boxes will hit shelves this winter, but Quaker has yet to announce a specific release date.
This isn’t the first time Life has released a seasonal flavor. Last year, the classic brand introduced its Pumpkin Spice multigrain cereal, joining the ever-growing list of foods with that fall flavor craze.
Currently, Life comes in three other flavors besides the pumpkin variety, including Original, Vanilla and Cinnamon.
Introduced in 1961, the breakfast brand has been a staple in many homes throughout the years (even Mikey liked it!) and has recently been trying to reach a younger demographic with a bigger digital ad push. We’re pretty sure these trendy seasonal flavors aren’t hurting, either.
Can’t wait until the gingerbread-flavored edition of Life hits store shelves? Here are some recipes to tide you over until the official start of the holiday season.
