Around 4:15 p.m., the sheriff’s office said authorities from several agencies were called to an area near the Gateway Canyons General Store, where Whited was reportedly shooting at cars driving by,

Gateway Canyons security responded first, according to the sheriff’s office. That’s when shots were reportedly fired between Whited and security officers. They pinned him down until authorities from several surrounding agencies got on scene to help arrest him.
