Heavy rainfall has blocked several roads Friday in the Wheaton, Maryland area.
Multiple cars were reportedly in high water, but fire officials say all of the calls were with “good intent” and there is no one stranded or in need of rescue.
Some lanes have reopened after police initially reported lanes along Veirs Mill Road south of the Connecticut Avenue intersection were closed due to standing water, according to ABC7’s Kevin Lewis.
Heavy rain and lighting has hit Montgomery County as the area is under a Flash Flood Warning until 2:45 p.m. Friday.
