Philadelphia Eagles vs. Buffalo Bills: Follow along with PennLive’s new game day page

PHILADELPHIA — The Eagles are back at Lincoln Financial Field on Thursday night to host the Bills in a Week 2 NFL preseason matchup.

And we’re trying out a new game day page to provide stats, analysis and conversation throughout the game for our readers. Click on the link here to get to our in-game thread, which we’ll update all night long. We also encourage you to sound off in the comments section on that page.

Afterward, let us know what you think of the experience by taking this survey. We’re aiming to offer fans a place for conversation and live updates, all on one neat page.

It’s an interesting night for a test run, too. Wide receiver Alshon Jeffery is likely to make his debut in an Eagles uniform Thursday, while newcomer Ronald Darby will lineup at cornerback for the Birds to face his former team.

The Eagles traded Jordan Matthews and a 2018 third-round pick Friday to acquire Darby, a talented 23-year-old who arrives to help a secondary riddled with question marks. Matthews, meanwhile, will not suit up for the Bills after he suffered a chest injury in practice this week.

After the starters head to the sidelines — likely sometime midway through the first quarter — the Eagles will begin to evaluate a slew of roster hopefuls, who have less than three weeks to make their final case to remain with the team beyond the preseason.

Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. Thursday. We hope you’ll join us over on our game day page for all the fun.
