MADISON, Wis. – A Madison woman who was spotted driving erratically on the Beltline crashed her van into cars waiting at a stop light and was arrested on suspicion of impaired driving, according to a release from Madison police.
Police said motorists on the Beltline reported early Monday afternoon that a van was being driven erratically. Officers said the van got off onĀ Gammon Road and crashed into vehicles waiting at a red light at Watts Road.
The driver told police the crash was caused by bad brakes.
Christine M. Nesheim, 40, was arrested on suspicion of second-offense operating while intoxicated, possession of heroin and possession of drug paraphernalia.
There were no serious injuries.
