DUBLIN–(BUSINESS WIRE)–The “Q1,
2017 US Laboratory Medical Supply Utilization Trends” report
has been added to Research and Markets’ offering.
The HIDA laboratory test-volume-weighted utilization index shows
moderate expansion in Q1 2017. The index value grew in Q1 by 17.6
points to 43.1.
Index shifts reflect seasonal increases in test volumes. These
increases were also seen in Q1 index values from previous years.
Geographically, five of six measured regions showed index increases
comparable to the national average. The Southwest region was the only
region to show index decreases, falling 22.5 points to -9.6. This
negative index value reflects slight contraction in the region.
Facilities of all sizes follow national trends, with seasonal
increases in Q1. Larger facilities also saw an index increase in Q4 of
