Sensex: Market Now: Nearly 90 stocks hit fresh 52-week highs today

NEW DELHI: Nearly 90 stocks, including Andhra Cements, Arrow Greentech, Bajaj Finance, Bata India, Bombay Dyeing, Century Textiles, Dewan Housing Finance Corporation, Eicher Motors, Hindalco Industries, Indiabulls Housing Finance, IndusInd Bank, JSW Steel, Maruti Suzuki India, Tata Steel and Reliance Industries hit fresh 52-week highs on NSE in Thursday’s trade.

On the other hand, Adhunik Metaliks, KSS, Nakoda and Tata Motors (DVR) were among the six stocks that hit fresh 52-week lows in trade so far.

The BSE benchmark Sensex rebounded about 150 points in early trade today on fresh buying in select bluechips amid a firm trend in Asian markets.

The equity markets’ barometer had lost 147.58 points yesterday, tracking global weakness on lingering worries about North Korea and the rupee hitting a three-week low against the dollar.

Realty, auto, FMCG and bank were the leading sectoral gainers.

Nifty metal index turned a bit choppy as JSW Steel, Coal India and Tata Steel slipped up to 1 per cent.

Benchmark Nifty50 index was 32 points up at 9,948, while the 30-share Sensex was 90 points up at 31,757 around 10.40 am (IST).

In the Nifty50 pack, 38 stocks were trading in green, while 13 stocks were in red.
