Sydney Harbour Tunnel’s northbound lanes reopened after crash between truck and car

The northbound lanes of the Sydney Harbour Tunnel have been reopened after a crash between a car and truck brought traffic to a standstill.

The crash occurred near the tunnel exit at North Sydney about 12.30pm, closing the tunnel for about an hour.

Cars were being diverted onto the Sydney Harbour Bridge.

According to Live Traffic NSW, the tunnel was closed at the entrance. At 1.30pm, the tunnel was reopened but traffic was still backed up to Moore Park.

Just after 2pm, Live Traffic Sydney was reporting that traffic conditions had returned to normal.

More to come.
