Highlights
– In Ar-Raqqa city bread prices are higher by more than 100 percent for public and commercial compared to average prices in Damascus market.
– Poor market functionality and low food supply resulted in three percent increase in the total cost of standard food basket in rural Deir-ez-Zor markets.
– In besieged Deir-ez-Zor market the average retail prices are higher by 19 percent for rice and 150 percent for bulgur compared to average prices of these commodities in Damascus markets.
– Slight increase in ToT of sheep price and casual labours daily wage against wheat flour price during reporting month.
