The summer holidays are fast approaching and Inspire – the dedicated service for Thurrock’s young people – is ready for you to join in.
With loads of free activities running across the borough there is no reason to not get involved.
The organisation has arranged a whole host of activities to take place this summer and there is something for everyone to get involved in.
Bend a Football like Beckham or create films like Spielberg – the activities are all run by qualified professionals.
Tilbury Youth Club takes place every Thursday between 3 and 5pm, from today until August 24.
The club will provide a range of activities, including music, football, art and dance, and a timetable of what activity will take place when is on the council’s website, listed below.
Inspire’s Summer Street Football Programme is also well under way.
It’s open to young people of ages 11 to 19 years old. There’s no charge, just turn up and play.
Hourly sessions are held at multiple locations, including Aveley Recreation Grounds, West Thurrock Memorial Grounds and Grays Beach.
Also available is Art Space, which provides an outlet for young people to have their voices heard and be creative through any form of art.
The sessions are for young people from 11 to 19 years-old. Just turn up and express yourself as an artistic individual.
The sessions are held every Friday in August between 1pm and 3pm at the Inspire Youth Hub in Grays.
If you a movie fan and fancy trying your hand at film-making Inspire has you covered.
This is your chance to get involved in different areas of film-making and learn the vital skills across all areas of the industry.
You can try writing, filming, acting and editing.
The classes are for young people aged 11 to 19, every Friday from 4pm to 6pm in the Inspire Youth Hub.
