ADVERTISER racing experts Lincoln Moore and Ben Scadden with their Track Talk preview for Saturday’s Morphettville races.
BEST OF BEST
GAME OF WAR
Race 5, No 4
Super impressive when he got through the conditions, racing away to win by a space last start. Trainer had concerns with the horse on soft tracks but if he lives up to last run and handles a heavy track he should beat these.
Morphettville, Race 6, No 12
Smart mare who ran a bold race when fourth against high-quality opposition in the Lightning Stakes last time. She should be nearing her peak after two runs from a lengthy break, draws the inside, and gets the services of in-form hoop Paul Gatt.
Race 1, No 1
She won’t be fancy odds but she’s been a dominant winner at her past two at Morphettville and no reason she can’t go on with it here. The 3kg claim for Dylan Caboche helps and she has a great record on heavy tracks, too.
SHARING SECRETS (Race 3)
He might need a bit more than 1050m but he’s well drawn, there’s good speed in the race, and I think he can run well.
CORRECT CALL (Race 5)
She hasn’t had any luck this preparation. She’s capable and, from a good draw, she could be hard to beat.
PEPPER THE PIN (Race 6)
He’s been a little disappointing this campaign but he’s well drawn and down in the weights a bit. He’s a good each-way chance.
DAYTONA GREY (Race 7)
It’s a very hard race but, in saying that, the old horse is going well, so we can only hope.
Race 5, No 6
She ran a great race last time behind Balf’s Choice, who’s low-flying, and there’s no horse with his talent in this race. She loves the heavy and I reckon she’s a great each-way shot.
First leg — 1, 4, 5, 6, 7, 10
Second leg — 3, 12, 13
Third leg — 1
Fourth leg — 4, 5, 9, 12, 14
