Another accident has occurred at an intersection in Wairarapa that has  concerned locals for many years.

A car turning into Cornwall Road off State Highway 2, at an intersection more commonly known as the Norfolk Road intersection, has collided with a southbound vehicle.

The occupants of both cars were removed from the vehicles with minor injuries, one was injured by an airbag and the other was being treated at the  scene in an ambulance. The collision occurred about 9.30am on September 22 with traffic diversions in place.

Carterton mayor John Booth and resident Neil Wadham spoke to Stuff about the dangerous intersection earlier this year.
