Visiting The Sydney Aquarium Is A MUST These School Holidays

Looking for somewhere to take the kids these school holidays? Get on down to Darling Harbour and check out SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium.

I have so many memories visiting this place as a kid and the nostalgic feels were so strong on a recent visit.

As soon as you walk in you are taken into a magical underwater world.

From penguins to octopus, jelly fish and colourful fish you learn all about what lives on the South Coast.

Next you roam thru to Jurassic Seas and you see some seriously weird, big looking fish!!!!

Continue walking on thru and see what lurks beneath Sydney Harbour, my gosh it’s a beautiful sight.

Then you’ll see my personal favourites, Pig and Wuru, the beautiful dugongs. These cuties are the only pair of Dugongs on display in the whole world! I could spend HOURS just watching them, they are fascinating creatures. And they love to eat, up to 20,000kg of restaurant quality lettuce every year!

The Shark Walk and Shark Valley is ridic. So many sets of teeth, rays, fish and shark living harmoniously.

The aquarium’s newest display takes you to the sub-Antarctic and gets you up close and personal with a colony of King and Gentoo penguins.

Jump on board the Penguin Expedition boat which is the world first ride thru penguin experience. Little and big kids will love this. While you are there make sure you crawl on your hands and knees and check out the little observation point for the penguins. So many photos ops and you’ll be so close to the penguins!

If you can remove yourself from watching the adorable penguins, get ready to discover and feel the ocean with their Discovery Rock pool.

Your kids will be screaming ‘I found Nemo’ and taken to the Great Barrier Reef in the Clown Fish Garden. What an INCREDIBLE display.

There is so much to see and do at SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium so add this to your school holiday to – do list.
