Volatile markets help ASX Ltd lift profit

An uncertain global political environment has helped markets operator ASX Limited boost full-year net profit by 1.9 per cent to $434.1 million

ASX’s revenue for the year to June 30, 2017, was up 2.6 per cent to $932.1 miillion with CEO Dominic Stevens saying growth in cash and derivatives trading, fuelled by “ongoing global uncertainty and pockets of volatility” underpinned the result.

The company declared a final dividend of 99.8 cents, fully franked, up from 99 cents a year earlier.
