Woman trapped after single car crash

A woman received moderate injuries after a single car accident. (file photo).

A woman was trapped after the car she was in hit a tree in Kaponga in South Taranaki on Friday night. 

Police, two ambulances and two fire crews attended the incident which happened around 10pm on Riverside Drive. 

Eltham chief fire officer David Waite attended said the woman was “lightly trapped” in her car after the incident. 

Waite said the woman received facial injuries and was taken to hospital by an ambulance. 

The women was the only one in the vehicle. No other cars were involved.
