Teesside-based chartered accountancy firm Anderson Barrowcliff has made a partner promotion, marking an important milestone in the firm’s ongoing growth and long-term succession strategy.
Luke Hopkins joined the business in 2016, following an early career in industry with a particular focus on the construction sector.
Over the past decade, he has become a key part of the firm, progressing through a range of roles and building strong, trusted relationships with clients across multiple sectors. Most recently, Hopkins has played a key role in the firm’s expanding corporate finance offering.
The promotion comes exactly ten years to the day since he joined the firm and coincides with it being ten years since the last partner appointment.
Hopkins said: “One of the things that stood out to me from day one was the culture. There are no rigid structures, people are encouraged to grow in ways that suit their strengths and take on new opportunities.
“Becoming a partner feels like a natural progression, and I’m looking forward to contributing to the firm’s continued growth while supporting our clients and colleagues.”
Andrew Dewing, partner at Anderson Barrowcliff, added: “We are incredibly proud to welcome Luke to the partnership. Throughout his time with us he has consistently shown strong leadership, a proactive approach, and a willingness to take responsibility while supporting those around him.
“Leadership is about more than technical skill, it’s about guiding people, embracing challenges, and helping move the business forward. Luke has demonstrated all of these qualities time and time again.”
