Investing.com – Belgium stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Consumer Goods, Industrials and Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Brussels, the rose 1.06% to hit a new 3-months high.
The best performers of the session on the BEL 20 were D’Ieteren NV (), which rose 2.93% or 4.90 points to trade at 172.40 at the close. Meanwhile, Sofina () added 2.59% or 5.80 points to end at 229.60 and Aperam SA () was up 2.46% or 1.22 points to 50.90 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Azelis Corporate Services NV (), which fell 0.78% or 0.08 points to trade at 10.23 at the close. Umicore SA () declined 0.53% or 0.14 points to end at 26.04 and Aedifica () was down 0.21% or 0.15 points to 71.40.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Brussels Stock Exchange by 74 to 19 and 11 ended unchanged.
Shares in Aperam SA (AS:APAM) rose to 3-years highs; up 2.46% or 1.22 to 50.90.
for August delivery was up 1.03% or 46.94 to $4,603.34 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, for delivery in July fell 5.22% or 5.04 to hit $91.56 a barrel, while the August contract fell 4.98% or 4.99 to trade at $95.22 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.34% to 1.16, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.17% to 0.86.
