A large tornado is on the ground south of Silver, Texas. The twister was spotted as a severe weather warning was issued for Edith and Silver. As of now, no damage or injuries have been reported.
The National Weather Service (NWS) initially issued a radar-indicated tornado warning for several Texas counties, encompassing Edith TX and Silver TX, extending until 4:30 PM CDT. They warned of the potential for two-inch-sized hail. Subsequently, the tornado warning was upgraded to denote a damaging tornado after a storm chaser reported witnessing the tornado touchdown in Silver.

According to reports, multiple tornadoes hit Texas near Abilene, on Thursday. Severe weather is back in the forecast again for the central and southern Plains just hours after strong thunderstorms and tornadoes rolled across Texas.
A tornado watch was in effect until 12 a.m. local time for southern counties in the central part of the state. A dramatic video also surfaced showing a storm chaser saving a Texas family during these severe weather conditions.
Earlier, during the weekend, the local NWS offices documented 12 tornadoes making landfall in North Texas and Central Texas. As communities grapple with the aftermath, remnants of severe storms persist, particularly evident in the destruction wrought by two confirmed tornadoes.
Among them, the tornado in Hawley, Texas, left a trail of devastation, demolishing homes and hurling debris into the air. Numerous residents of Hawley took to social media, sharing images and videos depicting the extent of the damage.
