INDIANAPOLIS (WRTV) — McDonald’s is getting energized!
McDonald’s will begin selling Red Bull Dragonberry Energizer drinks nationwide starting Aug. 17, marking the company’s first move into the energy drink market.
The drink combines Red Bull with blue raspberry syrup and freeze-dried dragon fruit. Customers can choose Red Bull Zero for a lower-sugar base or buy a standard 8.4-ounce can of Red Bull at participating locations.
The launch follows a successful U.S. test of the Dragonberry flavor. McDonald’s officials said customers have shown increasing interest in the chain’s variety of beverages, including its line of crafted sodas and refreshers.
“We’ve seen growing enthusiasm for our crafted sodas and refreshers as fans look for more variety and options to fit every occasion,” Alyssa Buetikofer, chief marketing and customer experience officer at McDonald’s USA said in a release. “They loved the Red Bull Dragonberry Energizer when we first tested it in the U.S., so we’re excited to give fans nationwide the energy they’ve been craving with Red Bull. And we’re just getting started.”
