Anyone fighting off high-interest debt, listen up: Right now, top balance transfers cards are offering a full 21 months of 0% intro APR.
That means you’ll pay 0% interest for the rest of this year…and all of next year, taking you into early 2028. If you’re looking to save on piling debt and/or upcoming purchases, you can’t do much better than that.
Here are three credit cards that can get you 0% intro APR until 2028.
1. Wells Fargo Reflect® Card
Best for: Intro APR offer on purchases and balance transfers
If a friend or family member asked me to recommend a balance transfer card, I’d start with the Wells Fargo Reflect® Card (rates and fees).
With the Wells Fargo Reflect® Card, you’ll get a 0% intro APR for 21 months from account opening on purchases and qualifying balance transfers; after that, a 17.49%, 23.99%, or 28.24% Variable APR applies. That’s among the longest intro APRs you’ll find, and you’ll get it for both purchases and balance transfers. You’ll also get up to $600 of cellphone protection.
The balance transfer fee of 5%, min: $5 isn’t the lowest I’ve seen — and like the other cards on this list, the Wells Fargo Reflect® Card doesn’t earn any rewards.
But this card won our award for the Best 0% Intro APR Credit Card of 2026 for a reason. It’s a great way to save on both existing debt and upcoming purchases.
2. Chase Slate®
Best for: Great terms from another issuer
The recently reintroduced Chase Slate® card (see rates and fees) offers nearly identical terms as the Wells Fargo Reflect® Card. It also comes with 0% Intro APR on Purchases and Balance Transfers for 21 months. After that, a 18.24% – 28.24% Variable APR applies. Also like the Wells Fargo Reflect® Card is the balance transfer fee: Either $5 or 5% of the amount of each transfer, whichever is greater.
You’ll notice the Chase Slate® has a slightly higher variable APR, and also doesn’t come with cellphone protection. For that reason, I still give the slightest of edges to the Wells Fargo Reflect® Card.
But keep in mind that card issuers won’t let you transfer debt from one of their cards to another — i.e., from another Wells Fargo card to the Wells Fargo Reflect® Card. So if you need a card from another issuer, the Chase Slate® is a perfectly viable option.
3. Citi® Diamond Preferred® Card
Best for: Saving on balance transfers
Looking to save on balance transfers, and balance transfers alone? The Citi® Diamond Preferred® Card is the way to go — it claimed our award for the Best Balance Transfer Credit Card of 2026.
That’s because it comes with 0% intro APR for 21 months on Balance Transfers and 12 months on Purchases. After that, a 16.49% – 27.24% (Variable) APR applies.
For balance transfers, that’s the same offer length as the previous two cards — and for purchases, it’s nine months shorter.
The difference? The Citi® Diamond Preferred® Card has a lower balance transfer fee: There is an intro balance transfer fee of 3% of each transfer (minimum $5) completed within the first 4 months of account opening. After that, your fee will be 5% of each transfer (minimum $5).
