Fleet Mortgages has promoted Chris Barwick and Katy Williams (pictured) to newly created regional sales manager roles as part of a wider enhancement of its intermediary sales structure.
Both will continue in their senior business development manager (BDM) positions while taking on additional responsibility for leading and developing the wider BDM team.
Barwick will remain focused on the North East, while Williams will continue to cover the Midlands, combining regional broker support with their new leadership duties.
The lender said the promotions reflect its ongoing investment in broker support and recognise the experience and contribution both individuals have made to the business.
Barwick brings a background spanning advising, underwriting and management roles, while Williams has built extensive experience across mortgages, commercial finance and bridging, alongside strong professional qualifications in specialist property finance.
Both will report into Steve Cox, chief commercial officer at Fleet Mortgages.
He said: “Chris and Katy are both highly-valued members of our sales team and these promotions recognise the contribution they have already made to the business, as well as the qualities they bring as leaders.
“Both have strong relationships with our intermediary partners, a deep understanding of the specialist buy-to-let market and the experience to help support and develop colleagues across the wider field team.
“These newly-created roles will strengthen our sales structure further and ensure we continue to provide the high levels of service and support our broker partners expect from Fleet.”
Barwick said: “I’m delighted to step into this new role at Fleet. Our business is built on the support we provide to brokers and the specialist expertise we bring, and I’m looking forward to helping develop the team further while continuing to work closely with brokers across my region.”
Williams added: “I’m excited to be taking on this new role. Fleet has given me the opportunity to develop my career and build strong relationships with brokers, and I’m excited to take on a wider leadership role while continuing to support advisers in the Midlands.”
