Grail sneakers re-release all the time. But the Nike Air Zoom Spiridon OG ‘Metallic Silver’ is one that looked like it was going to be locked in the vault for the rest of eternity.

First launched all the way back in ’97, this was one of the first Air Zoom Spiridons ever to hit shelves. Back then, trainers would get a few restocks here and there just so everyone could get a pair. But fans were afforded no such luxury with the ‘Metallic Silver.’ In fact, in the almost 30 years since, it has never made a comeback once. Plus, it was made exclusively as a women’s colourway. All of that makes it the most unexpected (but most welcomed) drop for early 2025.

Revived as part of Nike‘s new ‘Cult Classics’ collection, it works on top of a breezy mesh upper which is overlaid by some leather around the Dynamic Fit lacing system. A giant Swoosh is slapped across the sides, and to make it pop even more, it’s highlighted with a ‘Signal Blue’ outline, just like the OG from way back when.

An extra Swoosh is embroidered around the front of the shoe (because you can never have too many of them), and all of this rests on top of a chunky Zoom Air midsole that’s apparently one of the comfiest midsoles out there.
