Oscar-winning actress Allison Janney gave the term “shine like a star” new meaning during a recent appearance during the 2025 Tribeca Film Festival.
On Monday, June 9, The Help star attended the CHANEL Tribeca Festival Artists Dinner at The Odeon in New York City literally shining in a metallic gold trench coat dress made by the high fashion designer host of the event.
In photos from the function, Janney, 65, put on a radiant display, pairing the standout garment with a pair of black heeled boots and a matching purse. She wore simple gold jewelry to accessorize, while styling her neck-length golden blonde hair in a bob with a side swept bang.

“To be able to come to this dinner is such fun for me, because I’ve always wanted to be able to come and I’ve always been too busy,” Janney said, per WWD.
As for her look of the night, she fell in love with it right away. “It was actually the first thing I tried on that they sent for me and I was like ‘yes please. And more. I love it.”
Janney wasn’t the only stylish star in the building, as the dinner was also attended by the likes of Robert De Niro, Blake Lively, who brought her lookalike niece along for the evening, Grace Gummer, Lucy Liu, Joe Jonas, married couple Mariska Hargitay and Peter Hermann, Jon Hamm, Lili Reinhart, and more.

The I, Tonya actress stepped out for the event on the heels of presenting at the Tony Awards alongside Bryan Cranston. The movie in which the duo costar, Everything’s Going to Be Great, premiered at Tribeca earlier in the day.
On Tuesday, June 10, the Another Simple Favor star took to Instagram to celebrate the opening of the film, writing, “Thank you @tribecafilmfestival for premiering “Everything’s Going To Be Great” last night! I’m so proud to be a part of another @steven90405 movie starring alongside the brilliant @bryancranston@jackchampion@benjamin.evan.ainsworth@cadyhuffman and directed by the wonderful @jonsbaird 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 it opens in select theatres June 20th! #everythingsgoingtobegreatmovie I love you Steven Rogers😘❤️.”
