PLAYERS are set to battle for more than just glory in this year’s BetMGM Premier League Darts, which starts tonight.

And that’s because there’s a stunning custom-made set of solid gold darts worth £30,000 up for grabs for any player who lands a perfect nine-darter!

Tournament sponsors BetMGM have put up the jaw-dropping 18-carat gold prize made by luxury jewellers Humphrey and Hawkins.

And here’s the best bit – it can be won multiple times over 17-weeks!

Only 16 nine-darters have ever been hit in the tournament’s 20-year history, but with eight of the world’s best competing – the golden darts could find a new home sooner rather than later.

Bookies have 2025 PDC World Darts Championship winner and reigning champion Luke Littler as the one to beat at 11/8, while world number one Luke Humphries is close behind at 11/4.

Seven-time winner Michael van Gerwen is next best at 6/1 – but will any of them strike gold?

PDC Head of Media, Dave Allen, said: “This is a great initiative by BetMGM which adds even more interest to what is already a fantastically entertaining tournament.

“No tournament has featured more nine-darters than the BetMGM Premier League and this added incentive has certainly got the players talking ahead of the new season kicking off in Belfast.”

UK Director at BetMGM, Sam Behar, said: “We can’t wait for this year’s BetMGM Premier League Darts campaign to get underway and we felt it was important to reward the eight players if they can thrill the crowds by hitting a famous nine-darter.

“For every perfect leg hit in this year’s tournament we’ll be giving a player a set of 18ct solid gold darts, worth £30,000, as our way of congratulating them.

“There have already been 16 nine-darters in BetMGM Premier League Darts history – including Luke Littler hitting one in last year’s final at The 02 – and there’s no limit to the number of giveaways so there’s plenty to keep the players interested!”
