The Henderson Silver Knights have re-signed forward Riley McKay to a one-year deal, the team announced earlier this week.
McKay, a product of Swan River, Man., just finished his first season with the Silver Knights, scoring four goals and adding six assists for 10 points in 45 regular season games.

Having turned pro in 2020-21, McKay has played in a total of 130 regular season AHL games with the Silver Knights, Rockford IceHogs and the Laval Rocket. Over that timeframe, he has collected 10 goals and 18 assists for 28 points.
Prior to making the jump to the pro game, McKay spent five years playing junior hockey in the MJHL (Swan Valley Stampeders) and the WHL (Spokane Chiefs & Saskatoon Blades).
With McKay re-signing with Henderson, the organization clearly values what he brings to the table. Although he does chip in on offense when needed, McKay is at his best when he is being physical and getting under the skin of the opposition. Having collected 147 penalty minutes in 2024-25, McKay showed he is not one to back down and has carved out a role for himself with the Silver Knights.
