With just a fortnight to go until the record-breaking third edition of Geneva Dry, organisers are busy liaising with panels to make the world’s premier commodities shipping conference a vital gathering to assess how best to navigate today’s volatile markets.
Scheduled for April 28 and 29 and the Hotel President Wilson on the shoreline of Lake Geneva, the annual summit for dry bulk, shipping’s largest segment, features its largest, most high-calibre speaker line-up to date, with new sessions designed to ensure the event is both topical and relevant.
Top names in shipping from the likes of ADM, Anglo American, Bahri, Cetus Maritime, CTM, Drydel, Himalaya Shipping, Klaveness, Louis Dreyfus, Oldendorff, Seanergy Maritime, South32, Star Bulk, SwissMarine, Trafigura, Vale, Wah Kwong, and Western Chartering are among the many senior executives who will be taking the stage to dissect the markets, and give delegates a steer on where the dry bulk sector is heading over the next 24 months.
“We are currently navigating a perfect storm of complexity,” commented V Subramaniam, a director of the event. “Trade flows are being redrawn by geopolitics. Wars are shuttering chokepoints. Regulatory frameworks are multiplying faster than compliance teams can absorb them. Technology is reshaping commercial decision-making at a pace the industry has never experienced. In that environment, reading the market is no longer enough. You have to engage with it – and you engage with it through the people actually navigating it, in real time, with real money at stake.”

A bonus workshop due to take place on the morning of April 28, ahead of the official conference opening is drawing plenty of interest, as are the many cocktail parties and side events going on around the Swiss city during the final week of April leading into May.
The Digital Dry Hard Talk specialist workshop will be on a first-come, first-served basis on the ground floor at the Hotel President Wilson. The session will aim to go beyond the sea of solutions, buzzwords, and bold promises to assess what’s actually delivering results and what’s falling short in the world of digital.
Following a welcome address by Delphine Bachmann, State Councillor in charge of the canton’s Department of Economy and Employment (DEE), the 2026 version of Geneva Dry opens with the Commodities Shipping Outlook and is followed by a risk management session then a special looking at AI, digitalisation and the dry bulk workforce, before closing out day one with the always popular hour devoted to the future of fixing.
Day two starts with a digital drivers panel – with input coming from the outcome of the workshop the day prior – before moving onto the dry decarbonisation session, at which point the conference closes out with cargo-specific panels on minor bulks, agri-commodities, coal and iron ore.
Sign up today to join the more than 700 top names in shipping coming to Geneva Dry in two weeks.
