Pivotal Metals (ASX:PVT) has commenced fieldwork and an artificial intelligence (AI) program aimed at identifying new copper-nickel-platinum group metals deposits within its Belleterre-Angliers Greenstone Belt (BAGB) projects in Canada. Pivotal Metals is a mineral explorer and developer focused on its critical minerals assets in Canada. The company holds a dominant position on the BAGB, which forms part of the Archean Superior Province of the Canadian Shield.

Fieldwork is underway at the Midrim project, with initial results anticipated in Q3 2025. The exploration strategy involves utilising deep penetrating electromagnetic methods to pinpoint drill targets, with the objective of discovering new high-grade sulphide accumulations akin to known occurrences. Numerous undrilled conductive anomalies, identified through historical airborne surveys, are being targeted.

Pivotal says a clear drill target has been generated following a fixed-loop transient EM survey. Geological mapping, geophysical modelling, ground EM surveys, and drill testing will be carried out within the BAGB projects. Managing Director Ivan Fairhall stated that the project, with multiple historical intercepts, represents a compelling opportunity for new high-grade copper-nickel-platinum group metals discoveries.

Fairhall added that the project’s location near existing infrastructure, including underutilised milling capacity, positions the company to create value through low-capex development opportunities. Midrim, spanning 86.5 square kilometres, is one of three projects within the BAGB area and is considered a key exploration opportunity. Pivotal Metals currently has a market capitalisation of $9 million.
