When it comes to jewellery, it’s common to be loyal to either silver or gold – but recent trends suggest that people are becoming more open-minded to wearing both at once. Los Angeles-based brand, Spinelli Kilcollin, has made dual-tone rings a signature. Founders Yves Spinelli and Dwyer Kilcollin launched the brand in 2010 with the Galaxy – a style comprised of several rings linked with loops to create a unique single piece – and they remain a hallmark of its jewellery offering today. In a similar spirit, London-based Sophie Howard, who helms By Pariah, crafts stacking rings using 100 per cent recycled metals and untreated natural gemstones including agate and onyx.
Various celebrities have fallen for the appeal of French jeweller Justine Clenquet, who often draws inspiration from flea markets. Timothée Chalamet and Billie Eilish have worn her designs for British Vogue cover shoots (October 2022 and May 2025, respectively), while Lorde, Lisa, Rosalía and Kylie Jenner are among her other famous fans. “I couldn’t find jewellery that I wanted to wear,” she previously told Vogue from her atelier in Lille, France, of starting the brand over a decade ago. “It was so difficult to find great, affordable jewellery.” And she’s hit the sweet-spot.
