KINGSTON, Jamaica — Vybz Kartel’s 2011 hit Summer Time, has now been certified silver in the United Kingdom by the British Phonographic Industry (BPI).

The certification was issued on June 27, and commemorates sales and streaming equivalent of more than 200,000 units.

Summer Time was produced by Swedish music producer and beatmaker Adde Instrumentals and released via Tads Records.

This is the second silver certification in the United Kingdom for Vybz Kartel. In 2023, Fever earned a similar certification. That song has also been certified gold in the United States.

To date, the official music video for Summer Time, has racked up more than 111 million views on YouTube.
