It appears that one starter for the Buffalo Bills is confident he will return against the Miami Dolphins
The Buffalo Bills are dealing with a number of injuries ahead of Sunday’s game against the Miami Dolphins. The team saw a number of players leave the game due to injuries along with already being without three key players entering that game against the Titans.
However, one of those players appears very confident that he will be returning for this game. After practice on Thursday, Matt Parrino with syracuse.com tweeted out a video of Gabe Davis where he was asked how optimistic he was about playing in Week 3.
Davis’ response was: “100%”
The third-year wide receiver said the injury occurred during practice last weekend when he was trying to catch a ball and landed a little funny. He said the ankle rolled a bit but he feels good now and was able to do some things during practice today.
Gabe Davis’ return in Week 3 will be great news for the Buffalo Bills
Gabe Davis’ absence didn’t seem to impact the offense too much against the Tennessee Titans with the Bills winning 41-7 and Josh Allen throwing four touchdowns. However, this week the Bills are facing a Dolphins offense that has been very impressive in the first two games.
Their top two wide receivers, Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle, currently rank first and third in the league respectively in receiving yards. The Bills though have Stefon Diggs, who ranks second in the league in receiving yards, but a returning Gabe Davis can help Josh Allen match the production of the Dolphins’ offense.
This is the first year that Gabe Davis has been in the starting lineup right from the start of the season. It was expected to be a breakout year for him and it certainly looked like that was going to become a reality with his performance in Week 1. Gabe Davis had four receptions for 88 yards and a touchdown against the Los Angeles Rams in that game.
This week’s game is going to be a big AFC East matchup so having their starting wide receivers back will be a nice boost for the offense on Sunday.
