A credit card skimmer was discovered Wednesday on a 7-Eleven store register in Camden County.

Store employees found the skimmer at the convenience store’s checkout at 521 W. Kings Highway in Mount Ephraim, police said.

“We are now asking those who have shopped at this 7-Eleven or anyone who has recently used the credit card machine at this 7-Eleven to review their banking transactions,” Mount Ephraim police said.

Skimmers are devices designed to collect credit or debit card information that can later be used by thieves.

“If you notice any unauthorized transactions and suspect your card information may have been compromised, please report it to the Mt. Ephraim Police Department.”

The police department may be reached at 856-931-2225.
