The Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card (see rates and fees) has been one of the most popular travel cards for years. It pays big rewards for dining and travel purchases, and your points are worth more when you use them to book travel through Chase.

The list of perks goes on, but the biggest of all is the current sign-up bonus: 100,000 bonus points when you spend $5,000 within 3 months of opening an account.

That’s the biggest bonus we’ve seen for this card in years, and it won’t last long. Learn more about the Chase Sapphire Preferred card’s perks and see if you should apply today.

1. 100,000 bonus points

Chase Ultimate Rewards points are worth $0.01 each when you redeem them for statement cash back, gift cards, or Amazon purchases.

But when you instead use points to book travel through the Chase Ultimate Rewards portal, they’re worth 25% more. That means the current sign-up bonus is worth up to $1,250 in Chase Travel℠ value when used to book a flight, hotel, or rental car through Chase.

That’s enough to book a flight to Europe or a few nights at a high-end hotel. It’s also enough to cover the card’s $95 annual fee for 13 years.

2. Free DashPass subscription

Cardholders can activate a free DashPass subscription through the DoorDash app when they use their Chase Sapphire Preferred card to pay. The membership lasts for a year after activation.

DashPass gets you $0 delivery fees and reduced service fees when you place an order through DoorDash. It normally costs $9.99 per month, so this perk saves you about $120 a year.

You can also get a statement credit of up to $10 on one non-restaurant DoorDash order each month. That’s worth another $120 per year.

And that’s not even counting the money DashPass saves you on every order. I used my Chase Sapphire Reserve® card to get DashPass, and it saves me about $5 per order. For me, that’s worth roughly $250 per year.

3. Annual hotel statement credit

This credit is especially easy to earn: just book a hotel stay through Chase Travel, and you’ll get $50 back.

Note that you need to spend at least $50 in actual money; if you pay for the booking entirely with points, you won’t get the credit. Luckily, you have the option to pay with any combination of cash and points if you’d like.

You could earn even bigger rewards

We haven’t even gotten into the Chase Sapphire Preferred card’s generous spending rewards:

  • 5X points on travel purchased through Chase Travel℠
  • 2X points on all other travel
  • 3X points on dining, select streaming services, and online groceries
  • 1X points per dollar on other purchases

Depending on how much you spend, you could save hundreds or thousands of dollars more per year with the points you rack up.

If you could use a new travel card, then this one is hard to beat, especially right now. To apply for the Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card, click here — before the limited-time opportunity for 100,000 bonus points is gone.
