Seattle-Tacoma is my home airport, so I spend many hours there before taking off on my next adventure. While there are plenty of options to choose from, the American Express Centurion Lounge at SEA is a mandatory stop for me on every trip, so much so that I usually allot some additional time to spend there instead of showing up to the airport at the last minute.
There are several distinct areas in the lounge. The coffee, ice cream and full premium drinks bar can be found right after the welcome desk as are the more open-air zones. If you make your way toward the back, you’ll find the buffet and its sit-down area. And if you keep going, that’s where you’ll find me in the quieter area, where a few small call rooms are available for every road warrior.
Only a few credit cards grant unlimited access to this and other Centurion lounges around the globe.
If you don’t have any of these cards, you are not out of options to get in. Two Delta co-branded cards can get you in the door, albeit not without some restrictions to be aware of. To get into a Centurion lounge using these cards, you need to be flying a Delta-marketed and Delta-operated flight that day.
Unfortunately, only those who have the ultra-luxurious Centurion card can bring guests into these lounges for free with no spending requirements. Amex Platinum and Amex Business Platinum cardholders can earn complimentary guest access for up to two guests by spending at least $75,000 each calendar year. Children under 2 years of age can always visit free as well, but outside of these exceptions an additional per-guest fee will apply on every visit to a Centurion lounge.
