Ahead of taking on Fleetwood Town this weekend, Swindon have been hit with an injury crisis which has seen nine senior players out of action, including starting goalkeeper Connor Ripley.
With this in mind, Ian Holloway has opted to bring back Hart and Evans from their respective loans to fill out his squad.
Evans had spent time at Westbury United earlier this season but has been at Hungerford Town in the Southern Premier South Divisions since February.
Ripley has been ill since the game against AFC Wimbledon in midweek, meaning that Jack Bycroft is likely to start the game, and Evans can be on the bench in case of emergency.
Hart has been on loan with Farnborough United in the National League South since January, making 14 appearances for The Yellows.
Billy Kirkman has picked up a shoulder problem, which means that Will Wright, Miguel Freckleton, George Cox, and Tunmise Sobowale are the only recognised senior defenders available, causing Hart to be brought back.
Holloway will be without Kirkman, Harrison Minturn, Ryan Delaney, Grant Hall, Joel McGregor, and Ollie Clarke, whom he would normally call upon in defence.
Both Evans and Hart have made senior appearances for Town, although neither have played this campaign, with Hart making six appearances and Evans making his debut as a substitute in the last game of last season against Morecambe.
With Swindon being without Ripley and five defenders made Holloway see fit to bring both back to be part of his squad against Fleetwood.
He said: “It is good to see them in a squad and also how it affects my other lads as well; you will find leaders that you did not know that you had or even they might be leaders, you never know.
“It is all about stepping up and stepping to the plate, and you are always being surprised by people in this game.
“I am looking forward to seeing how the group is, and how they [Evans and Hart] handle it.
“What a wonderful opportunity. The sun is out, we have a long journey, and our away form has been nowhere near good enough for Swindon Town and the future of Swindon Town.
“We have got to sort that out, and that is when true character shows.”
