A federal judge in Texas officially rescinded his order transferring an industry lawsuit challenging the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau’s $8 credit card late fee cap to Washington, D.C., after an appeals court sent the case back to his district.

Judge Mark Pittman of the US District Court for the Northern District of Texas reopened the credit card late fee lawsuit in a Monday order sent to the federal district court in Washington.
