The Virgin Red Rewards Mastercard® can offer a lot of flexibility in terms of benefits and rewards. Issued in partnership with Synchrony, the new card will earn 3 points per dollar with Virgin Atlantic, Virgin Hotels and Virgin Voyages, 2 points per dollar on dining, groceries, select streaming services and electric vehicle charging, and 1 point per dollar everywhere else.
The card also offers 2,500 Virgin Points per authorized user, up to a maximum of four users. And it comes with an anniversary bonus of up to 5,000 Virgin Points each year upon card renewal.
For every $2,500 you spend on your card, you will earn 25 Flying Club Tier Points (up to 50 Tier Points per month), which gives you a path to elite status with Virgin Atlantic. You’ll need 400 Tier Points to qualify for the Silver Tier. You can quickly achieve status when supplementing the Tier Points you earn from flights with everyday spending. Cardholders will also enjoy a third night free after booking two nights at a participating Virgin Hotel once a year.
Heavy spenders can reap additional benefits from the card. Cardholders get the opportunity to select a perk up to two times per year—once after spending $15,000 in a calendar year and again after spending $30,000.
Currently planned perks include:
- Flying Club reward voucher for a companion seat or a cabin upgrade on Virgin Atlantic.
- One free hotel night stay at a participating Virgin Hotel.
- One-night suite upgrade at a participating Virgin Hotel.
- Up to $300 in credits towards a bar tab with Virgin Voyages.
- Blue Extras Perk Package with Virgin Voyages, which includes laundry service, an exclusive cocktail party and daily coffee credits.
